PNC Infratech Limited has received a letter of award from NHPC Limited to develop a 300 MW interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar project integrated with 150 MW/600 MWh of energy storage. The project was secured through tariff-based competitive bidding at a discovered tariff of ₹3.13 per kWh.
NHPC will sign a 25-year power purchase agreement with PNC Infratech. Power supply from the project is scheduled to begin within 24 months from the effective date of the agreement.
The project scope includes a 300 MW solar facility linked to the ISTS network and a 150 MW/600 MWh energy storage system. The supply period under the PPA will extend for 25 years from the scheduled commencement date.
