Hazoor Multi Projects launches Maharashtra’s first 1.2 GW solar park
Hazoor Multi Projects (HMPL) has recently launched Maharashtra’s first solar park, the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Saur Urja Park (CSMSUP), with a capacity of 1.2 GW. Located on 4,200 acres in Solapur district, the park will utilize 750-watt solar panels with fixed and tracking systems to optimize energy production. This initiative is a significant step in supporting India’s renewable energy goals and reducing its carbon footprint.
In addition to this, HMPL is planning to expand its renewable energy efforts with solar hybrid projects in Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh, with a combined capacity of 1,200 MW and 500 MW, respectively.
SCCL plans 2×800 MW thermal power plant near Odisha’s Naini mine
Meanwhile, Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has proposed a new 2×800 MW thermal power plant near its Naini mine in Odisha. The company has requested land allocation from the state government, with Jarpada/Tukuda and Handappa/Binanali identified as potential sites for the plant.
