RMC Switchgears has received a Rs 1.08 billion work order to develop distribution infrastructure in select districts of Gujarat. The project involves installing 11 kV underground cables and ring main unit (RMU) systems to strengthen the region’s power distribution network.
In a separate development, Ultracab (India), a manufacturer of electric wires and cables, has secured an order worth Rs 510.6 million from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) for the supply of low-tension cross-linked polyethylene (LT XLPE) cables.
Ultracab serves a diverse client base, including major corporate groups such as TATA, Adani, Jindal, and Vedanta. It also supplies to public sector undertakings like Indian Railways, Engineers India Limited (EIL), Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL).
