GK Energy secures Rs 354 crore solar pump order from MSEDCL
GK Energy Limited has received a Letter of Empanelment from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for the supply and installation of 15,000 off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems. The project, valued at about Rs 353.89 crore including GST, will be executed across Maharashtra under the ‘Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump’ Yojana, a component of the PM Kusum B Scheme.
The scope includes design, manufacture, supply, transport, installation, testing and commissioning of solar water pumping systems in 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP capacities. As per the contract terms, installation of each system is to be completed within 60 days from the issuance of the Work Order or Notice to Proceed.
The contract has been awarded by a domestic entity and is classified as a one-time order. The company stated that the transaction does not fall under related party transactions and that its promoters and promoter group companies have no interest in MSEDCL.
