Diamond Power secures Rs 185 crore conductor order from Adani Energy
Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited (DPIL) has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) for the supply of aluminium alloy conductors for two transmission projects. The contract is valued at approximately Rs 185.16 crore, excluding taxes.
The order covers the design, engineering, manufacturing, testing, packing and transportation of conductors on a Delivery-at-Place (DAP) basis and is scheduled to be executed over an eight-month period, with supplies expected to be completed by February 2027.
Project scope
Under the contract, DPIL will supply 1,050 km of AL59 Moose Conductors for AESL’s Tuticorin project and 3,770 km of AL59 Zebra Conductors for the Pune-III project.
The company stated that deliveries are expected to commence immediately.
The contract has been structured on a variable-price basis, with the final value linked to movements in aluminium prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) and fluctuations in the USD/INR exchange rate under a pre-agreed price variation formula. As a result, the final contract value may vary from the current estimate of Rs 185.16 crore.
Recent orders
The latest award adds to a series of orders secured by DPIL from companies within the Adani Group during FY27.
In April 2026, the company received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited for the supply of cables valued at Rs 45.47 crore, inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST).
Earlier that month, DPIL disclosed receipt of three LoIs from Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited, Adani Power Limited and Adani Green Energy Limited, with a combined value exceeding Rs 163 crore. Those contracts included the supply of cables for multiple projects, including the Raipur Phase II Thermal Power Project in Chhattisgarh.
With the addition of the AESL order, Diamond Power Infrastructure continues to expand its order book across the transmission and distribution segment, particularly through supplies to large private sector power developers and utilities.
