Karnataka signs MoU with GAIL for 1,000 MW RE projects

The Government of Karnataka signed a Memorandum of Understanding with GAIL (India) Limited on May 9, 2025. The agreement aims to develop 1,000 MW of renewable energy projects in the state by 2030.
Under the MoU, the state government will assist GAIL in securing all necessary permissions, approvals, clearances, registrations, and incentives through relevant departments.
M B Patil, Minister for Large and Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development, stated that Karnataka’s policies, workforce, and land availability support sustainable investments. He welcomed GAIL’s interest in contributing to the state’s clean energy goals.
