Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited has received a rooftop solar order worth Rs 520 million in Telangana, marking its commercial entry into the large-scale rooftop solar segment.
The company plans to leverage its distribution network and brand presence to expand in the rooftop solar and solar pump markets. Project sizes in this segment range between Rs 400–500 billion, with Crompton targeting a total addressable market expansion from roughly Rs 1 trillion to Rs 2 trillion.
This order positions Crompton as a credible player in India’s solar energy sector. The company aims to capture this potential through large orders and a growing project pipeline, supported by its established brand and distribution network.
