Apraava Energy has commissioned a 250.7 MW wind power project in the Sidhpur region of Gujarat’s Devbhoomi Dwarka district. This was the company’s largest wind project.
Awarded under SECI’s Tranche VIII wind tender, the project features 120 Suzlon wind turbine generators, each with a 2.1 MW rated capacity. This brings Apraava Energy’s total operational wind portfolio to around 1,200 MW.
The project is backed by a 25-year power purchase agreement with SECI at a tariff of Rs 2.83 per kWh. It incorporates advanced safety features, including fire suppression and condition monitoring systems for the turbines.
In addition, Apraava Energy has launched community development initiatives across 12 villages in Sidhpur, focusing on livelihood, water, sanitation, and women’s empowerment.
In September 2024, Apraava secured an interstate transmission project in Rajasthan through the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) process. The project involves constructing around 200 km of 400 kV and 765 kV transmission lines, along with a pooling station, to facilitate the evacuation of 5.5 GW of renewable energy from Rajasthan’s Renewable Energy Zone Phase IV.
