KPI Green wins Rs 621 crore NTPC Renewable solar project order

KPI Green Energy Limited has received Notifications of Award from NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited, for the Balance of System package for a 500 MW grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) project at Bikaner, Rajasthan.

The aggregate value of the contract is approximately Rs 621 crore, excluding goods and services tax (GST). The award has been divided into two packages comprising a 300 MW block valued at Rs 367 crore and a 200 MW block valued at Rs 254 crore.

The scope of work includes supply of plant and equipment, inland transportation, insurance, installation, testing, commissioning, civil and allied works, along with comprehensive operations and maintenance (O&M) services for three years from the commercial operation date. The project also includes a 10-year annual maintenance contract (AMC).

According to the company, the project marks its entry into Rajasthan and expands its geographical presence into one of India’s major renewable energy regions.

KPI Green Energy stated that the order is aligned with its strategy to participate in large utility-scale solar projects across renewable energy-rich states. The company added that the project is expected to support its future growth and strengthen its position in the renewable energy sector.
