ACME Solar Holdings Private Limited and ReNew Solar Power Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ReNew Power Ventures Private Limited, have received Letters of Award (LoAs) for setting up a total of 550 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected solar power projects with energy storage systems (ESS) under Tranche-XVIII of Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).
ReNew Solar Power received an LoA for 250 MW at a tariff of Rs 3.04 per kWh, while ACME Solar received an LoA for 300 MW at a tariff of Rs 3.05 per kWh.
The project entails setting up 550 MW ISTS-connected solar power projects with ESS on a build, own, and operate (BOO) basis, including a dedicated transmission network up to the interconnection/delivery point for supplying power to SECI.
The scope of work for both ReNew Power and ACME Solar includes land identification, installation, project ownership, and obtaining connectivity and necessary approvals for interconnection with the ISTS network.
SECI will enter into a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with ACME Solar and ReNew Power for these projects. The projects are expected to be commissioned by June 2025.
In September 2024, SECI invited Request for Selection (RfS) bids for setting up 1,000 MW ISTS-connected solar power projects with ESS under Tranche-XVIII.
