Adani Solar has reached a major manufacturing milestone, with total module shipments surpassing 15,000 MW across domestic and international markets. The company announced that it is the first and fastest Indian solar manufacturer to achieve this scale, reinforcing India’s growing presence in global solar manufacturing.
Of the total shipments, 10,000 MW were supplied to projects within India and 5,000 MW exported to international markets. The cumulative figure represents roughly 28 million solar modules, enough to cover nearly 7,500 football fields, according to company estimates.
Adani Solar said about 70 percent of the modules were produced using India-made solar cells from its own facilities, aligning with the Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India) missions. These initiatives aim to reduce import dependence and expand the country’s integrated solar manufacturing ecosystem.
The company operates one of India’s largest integrated solar manufacturing facilities, producing cells and modules for utility-scale, rooftop, and off-grid applications. The 15 GW shipment benchmark highlights the rising competitiveness of Indian solar products in global markets, particularly in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
Adani Solar said it plans to continue expanding its production capacity to meet both domestic demand and export growth, while contributing to India’s renewable energy targets.
