NTPC commissions 245 MW at Nokh Ultra Mega Solar Park in Rajasthan

NTPC Limited has commissioned 245 MW of solar power as part of the 735 MW Nokh Ultra Mega Solar Park Project in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.
The project became commercially operational from midnight on March 26, 2025, following successful commissioning and regulatory approvals.
The Nokh Ultra Mega Solar Park, developed by NTPC under the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) model, will have a total capacity of 735 MW, divided into three units of 245 MW each. It is part of the larger 925 MW Nokh solar park, which spans 1,850 hectares in Jaisalmer and involves an estimated investment of Rs 40 billion.
Rajasthan Solarpark Development Company Limited (RSDCL), a subsidiary of Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RRECL), has been designated as the Solar Power Park Developer (SPPD) for the project.
With this addition, NTPC’s total installed and commercial capacity now stands at 59,413 MW on a standalone basis and 77,806.50 MW at the group level.
