Suzlon Energy Limited has received a 381 MW wind energy order from Zelestra India for its first Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project. The contract involves the installation of 127 wind turbine generators (WTGs) of the S144 model, each with a 3 MW capacity.
The project will span three states. Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh will host 180 MW each as part of Zelestra’s FDRE bid, while 21 MW in Tamil Nadu will cater to commercial and industrial (C&I) consumers.
This order significantly contributes to Suzlon’s S144 turbine portfolio, with the orderbook now at 91 percent utilisation. Suzlon will provide end-to-end solutions including manufacturing, installation, and commissioning support.
