Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has commenced commercial operations for 396.7 MW of wind and solar power projects under the 30,000 MW Khavda Wind-Solar Hybrid Renewable Energy Power Park in Gujarat’s Rann of Kutch. The projects became operational on March 28, 2025.
Three special purpose vehicles (SPVs) of AGEL have commissioned the following capacities:
The Khavda wind-solar hybrid park, one of the world’s largest renewable energy projects, is designed to have a total capacity of 30,000 MW, comprising 26,000 MW of solar and 4,000 MW of wind power. Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited (GIPCL) is the nodal agency overseeing the project, while AGEL is responsible for its development.
Additionally, the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), and the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) are working on developing the necessary transmission infrastructure to evacuate power from the identified areas.
