JSW Energy wins bid for 3,600 MW Akaltara thermal power project

JSW Energy Limited has been declared the successful applicant for acquiring the 3,600 MW Akaltara (Nariyara) Thermal Power Project (KSK Mahanadi) and received the Letter of Intent (LoI) on January 13, 2025. Adani Group commits Rs 600 billion to expand power plants in Chhattisgarh

The Adani Group has committed Rs 600 billion to expand power plants in Raipur, Korba, and Raigarh, increasing its power generation capacity by 6,120 MW.  This investment was announced in a meeting with Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on 12 January 2025. Power Mech Projects Limited won a contract from Adani Power Limited (APL) worth Rs 5,100 million for civil and mechanical construction works for the 1,600 MW Raipur (Raikheda) Ultra Super-Critical Thermal Expansion Project on November 29, 2024.
