Bridge and Roof Company (India) Limited has secured an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract from NTPC Limited for developing a 26 MW floating solar photovoltaic (PV) project at Sipat Reservoir 1-B in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh.
NTPC had invited bids for the floating solar project in February 2024.
Following the EPC award, Bridge and Roof issued a tender on May 28, 2025, to engage an agency for detailed engineering and review services for the same project. The last date for bid submission is June 4, 2025.
The selected agency will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, designing, submission of drawings and documents, detailed project report (DPR), quality assurance plan, and vendor documentation. The scope also includes reviewing, monitoring, and surveillance of project execution under the EPC framework.
The assignment is expected to be completed within three months from the issuance of the Letter of Intent (LoI) at an estimated cost of Rs 1.9 million.
The 26 MW floating solar PV project is being set up at Sipat Reservoir-1B, a site owned by NTPC Limited, as part of its broader push to integrate floating solar capacity into its power portfolio.
