Chhattisgarh Hydro Power LLP, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sarda Energy and Minerals Limited, has commenced commercial operations at the Rehar-I Small Hydro Power Project (SHEP) in Chhattisgarh. The plant was commissioned on July 8, 2025.
The project has a total capacity of 24.9 MW and comprises three units of 8.3 MW each. It has been developed on the Rehar river and is designed to generate renewable power for state consumption.
The electricity generated will be supplied to Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited (CSPDCL) under a long-term agreement. In a regulatory filing, the company stated that it has secured in-principle consent from CSPDCL to purchase power from the project, improving revenue visibility and reinforcing Sarda Energy’s focus on renewable energy growth.
