The Ministry of Power has initiated a stakeholder mapping survey to support the development of the India Energy Stack (IES), a digital public infrastructure for the power sector.
The IES is designed to create a connected and interoperable energy ecosystem through grid digitalisation, renewable integration, decentralised generation, and consumer-focused reforms.
A core component of the initiative will be a Utility Intelligence Platform, built with open standards and APIs in partnership with select distribution utilities. This platform will integrate data from IT and operational systems to improve efficiency and enable new solutions.
The survey seeks details on organisational profiles, solutions, innovations, and readiness to participate in the IES framework. Stakeholders, including utilities, technology providers, and innovators, are encouraged to align their products with forthcoming interoperability standards to reduce retrofit costs and ensure future compatibility.
The Ministry has requested stakeholders to submit their responses within two weeks. The inputs will form a reference base for utilities and solution providers as the IES framework is developed.
