Oriano commissions 112 MWp solar project in Maharashtra

Oriano Clean Energy has commissioned a 112 MWp solar project for Hexa Climate Solutions Pvt. Ltd. at Wardha in Maharashtra and has subsequently secured an additional 84 MWp project from the company in Andhra Pradesh.

The development highlights the continuing partnership between the two companies and adds to Oriano’s portfolio of utility-scale solar Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects.

Wardha project

The commissioned project at Wardha was executed on a turnkey EPC basis. The scope of work included the development of a double bus bar 132 kV Pooling Substation (PSS), securing all required approvals from Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MSETCL) and Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA), and undertaking operations and maintenance (O&M) responsibilities for the project.

With the commissioning of the project, the 112 MWp facility has now been brought into operation in Maharashtra.

New order

Following the completion of the Wardha project, Oriano has been awarded another contract by Hexa Climate Solutions Pvt. Ltd. for the development of an 84 MWp solar project at Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh.

The new project will include two 132 kV Pooling Substations (PSS) and a Grid Substation (GSS) as part of the overall scope.

The award reflects continued activity in the utility-scale solar segment, where developers are increasingly relying on turnkey EPC contractors for project execution, transmission infrastructure and statutory approvals.
