Marsons secures Rs 9.48 crore transformer repair order from WBSETCL
Marsons Limited has received a work order from West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (WBSETCL) for the repair, inspection, and testing of 50 MVA, 132/33 kV power transformers, including to-and-fro transportation.
The contract is valued at Rs 9,48,36,600, inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST). The execution timeline for the order is between six and 12 months.
Scope of work
The scope includes repair, inspection, and testing activities for 50 MVA, 132/33 kV power transformers along with transportation services. WBSETCL, a state government utility, is responsible for power transmission infrastructure in West Bengal.
According to the company, the order is part of Marsons’ core business operations in power transmission equipment services.
Transaction details
Marsons stated that no promoter, promoter group, or group companies have any interest in the awarding entity. The company also confirmed that the contract does not qualify as a related party transaction and has been executed at arm’s length.
Last week, Marsons also received a Letter of Intent (LoI) valued at around Rs 31.27 crore, inclusive of GST, from Assam Electricity Grid Corporation Limited (AEGCL) for the supply of 132/33 kV, 50 MVA power transformers and associated services for the Durlavcherra, Karimganj, and Srikona substations under Package T-3.
