Juniper Green commissions 305 MWp renewable capacity in Gujarat

Juniper Green Energy has commissioned 305 MWp of renewable energy capacity across multiple solar and wind projects in Gujarat, developed for Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) under various power purchase agreements (PPAs).

The commissioned portfolio includes 183 MWp of solar capacity and 122 MW of wind capacity across Surendranagar, Aravalli, Devbhumi Dwarka, and adjoining districts.

Solar commissioning

Under its 150 MW hybrid project, the company commissioned 70.56 MWp of solar capacity on April 23, 2026, achieving commercial operation 71 days ahead of the scheduled commercial operation date (SCOD).

Under another 150 MW hybrid project, Juniper Green Energy commissioned an additional 70.07 MWp of solar capacity on June 3, 2026, 30 days ahead of SCOD.

The company also commissioned 42.42 MWp of solar capacity under its 120 MW hybrid project on May 14, 2026. According to the company, the project achieved commercial operation 148 days ahead of SCOD.

Wind projects

In Devbhumi Dwarka, the company commissioned 50.40 MW of wind capacity under its 50 MW wind power project and 72.45 MW under its 70 MW wind power project.

The projects were developed through Juniper Green Energy subsidiaries under PPAs signed with GUVNL.

Management statement

Ankush Malik, Chief Executive Officer of Juniper Green Energy, said the commissioning reflects the company’s project execution capabilities and its focus on renewable energy delivery.

According to the company, the newly commissioned projects strengthen its renewable energy portfolio in Gujarat.

FDRE project

In April 2026, Juniper Green Energy entered the commissioning phase of what it described as India’s first Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project developed under the Government of India’s FDRE framework.

The project combines 259 MWp of solar capacity, 280 MW of wind capacity, and a 200 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) across Rajasthan and Gujarat.
