JSW Energy Q4 profit falls 9% despite revenue growth
JSW Energy reported a 9% year-on-year (YoY) decline in consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, even as revenue and operating performance recorded significant growth.
According to the company’s financial results filed with stock exchanges on Monday, net profit stood at Rs 372 crore in Q4 FY26, compared to Rs 408 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
Revenue from operations increased 41% YoY to Rs 4,499 crore from Rs 3,189 crore in Q4 FY25.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 87% YoY to Rs 2,251 crore, against Rs 1,205 crore in the year-ago period. EBITDA margin improved to 50% from 37.8%.
The company said its installed power generation capacity reached 13.45 GW during the quarter, with renewable energy contributing nearly 58% of the portfolio. Total locked-in generation capacity stood at 32.1 GW.
Net power generation during the quarter increased 48% YoY to 11.7 billion units. Thermal generation rose 43%, while renewable generation recorded a 68% increase.
In the previous quarter ended December 31, 2025, JSW Energy had reported more than a two-fold increase in consolidated net profit. Net profit in Q3 FY26 stood at Rs 420 crore, compared to Rs 168 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
Revenue from operations in Q3 FY26 rose 67.4% YoY to Rs 4,082 crore from Rs 2,439 crore, while EBITDA increased to Rs 2,030 crore from Rs 913.5 crore in the year-ago quarter.
Additionally, the Board of Directors approved the re-appointment of Rajiv Chaudhri as an Independent Director for a second term of five years with effect from July 14, 2026.
