Three companies secured contracts totalling 600 MW for the development of 1,000 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-Connected Solar Power Projects under Tranche-XVIII.
The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) invited Request for Selection (RfS) bids for this project in September 2024.
The project requires the developers to set up 1,000 MW ISTS-connected solar power projects on a build, own, and operate (BOO) basis, including a dedicated transmission network up to the interconnection/delivery point for power supply to SECI.
