Jindal India Power signs term sheet with SANY for 160 MW wind turbines
Jindal India Power Limited has signed a term sheet with SANY Wind Energy India Limited for the supply of 160 MW of Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) for its 150 MW Round-the-Clock (RTC) renewable energy project being developed in Davanagere, Karnataka.
The agreement, signed on August 5, 2026, marks a key procurement milestone for the project awarded by the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI), advancing it from the planning stage towards execution.
The WTGs will form part of the project’s hybrid configuration, which combines wind, solar and battery energy storage to provide firm, round-the-clock renewable power instead of the variable output associated with standalone renewable generation.
SANY Wind Energy India Limited is the Indian wind energy business of SANY Group. The group, founded in 1989, operates across multiple equipment segments, including construction machinery, wind power equipment, photovoltaic equipment, hydrogen energy equipment and energy storage systems.
