JD Cables starts conductor production at Dankuni unit

JD Cables Limited has commenced production at its new conductor manufacturing unit at Chakundi, Star Battery Gate, Dankuni, Hooghly, West Bengal, with an installed capacity of 28,000 kms. According to a regulatory filing dated July 7, 2026, production at the facility commenced on July 6, 2026.

The new unit is located at Chakundi, Star Battery Gate, Dankuni, Hooghly – 712310, West Bengal. It is part of the company’s Conductor Division and has an installed capacity of 28,000 kms.

Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Kolkata, West Bengal, JD Cables Limited manufactures electrical wires, cables and conductors for the power transmission and infrastructure sectors. The company is also an approved vendor for multiple State Electricity Boards across several eastern and northeastern Indian states.

For the half-year and full year ended March 31, 2026, the company reported higher revenue and profitability. FY26 total income rose 45.67% to Rs 36,519.36 lakh, EBITDA increased 40.29% to Rs 4,811.01 lakh, and PAT grew 44.04% to Rs 3,172.46 lakh. The order book stood at Rs 515 crore as on March 31, 2026.
