Hexa Climate signs 100 MW wind-solar hybrid PPA with CESC
Hexa Climate has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with CESC Limited for 100 MW of interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected wind-solar hybrid power. The capacity was awarded through CESC’s tariff-based competitive bidding process for a total of 600 MW of wind-solar hybrid capacity.
The project will be located in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh. It comprises 50 MW of solar capacity and 100 MW of wind capacity, with a declared capacity utilisation factor (CUF) of 50% at the delivery point.
The PPA has been signed at a tariff of Rs 3.75/kWh, fixed for a 25-year term. The tariff has been adopted by the West Bengal Electricity Regulatory Commission (WBERC).
According to Hexa Climate, the project forms part of its strategy to build a diversified portfolio of wind, solar and hybrid assets across India to supply clean power to the grid and support utilities and corporate consumers with renewable energy procurement.
