The winter session of Parliament will take up a proposal to allow private participation in the civil nuclear sector. The Bill is listed for introduction when the session begins on December 1.
The proposal sits alongside the Atomic Energy Bill, 2025. This Bill outlines a framework for the use and regulation of atomic energy and is also scheduled for introduction in the same session. Both items mark a significant legislative focus on revisiting India’s nuclear regulatory architecture.
The session will end on December 19 after 15 sittings.
