Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) to enhance energy efficiency and clean energy adoption.
The collaboration aims to implement energy efficiency programs such as the street lights national programme, energy-efficient building solutions, and decentralised solar initiatives, including rooftop solar installations, solar carports, and hybrid thermal solar systems.
The partnership will also promote electric mobility with the deployment of electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, along with smart metering and trigeneration projects to optimise energy use. Focus will be placed on demand flexibility solutions for grid stability, clean cooking technologies, and battery energy storage systems using both short-duration (Lithium Iron Phosphate) and long-duration (Zinc Electrolyte) storage technologies. Additionally, streamlined procurement processes and project management services will ensure effective implementation.
