The Central Electricity Authority (CEA) has sought stakeholder comments on draft technology catalogues covering Energy Storage and Green Fuels developed under the Indo-Denmark strategic energy cooperation. Â
The exercise is being carried out under the framework of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Ministry of Power, Government of India, and the Ministry of Climate, Energy & Utilities of the Kingdom of Denmark on June 5, 2020. The technology catalogue is intended to provide standardised inputs for electricity system analysis, economic scenario modelling, and long term energy planning.
According to CEA, the draft catalogues were prepared after an extensive stakeholder engagement process. This included a detailed workshop held on July 16, 2024, which was attended by more than 100 experts from across the power sector. Following this process, the authority has released the draft versions for wider public consultation.
CEA has stated that the final Technology Catalogue will be issued after examining the comments and suggestions received from stakeholders during the consultation period, which closes on February 15, 2026.
