Bondada wins Rs 1,338 crore NTPC solar-BESS contract
Bondada Engineering Limited has received a Notification of Award (NOA) from NTPC Renewable Energy Limited for an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) package involving a 250 MW Solar PV project integrated with a 50 MW/200 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh.
The total contract value is approximately Rs 1,338 crore, inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST). The project is scheduled for completion within 18 months from the date of award.
Order book expansion
Following the award, Bondada Engineering’s solar EPC order book has increased to approximately 5.5 GWp, while its BESS order book stands at around 1.1 GWh.
The company said the expanded order book improves revenue visibility and supports its execution pipeline and long-term growth plans.
Project details
The contract has been awarded by NTPC Renewable Energy and relates to the development of a solar-plus-storage project in Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh.
According to the company, the order is domestic in nature and does not involve any related-party transactions. Bondada Engineering also stated that neither its promoters nor promoter group entities have any interest in the awarding entity.
Recent orders
Last month, Bondada Engineering received multiple orders worth Rs 469.52 crore from Adani Group companies for supply of goods and onsite services related to the Balance of System (BOS) package for a 250 MW solar power project at Khavda in Kutch, Gujarat.Â
The company also received NoA from NTPC Green Energy Limited last month for BOS works for a 600 MW solar PV project at Fatehgarh in Rajasthan.Â
