The Government of Andhra Pradesh has commissioned 18 transmission projects across the state. These include upgrades such as interconnecting transformer (ICT) capacity augmentation and installation of additional bus reactors to support reactive power management.
The completed projects involve seven 400 kV substations and eleven 220 kV substations. The total estimated cost is Rs 10.95 billion.
Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand stated that 55 more transmission projects are under execution. These include similar ICT augmentations and reactive power systems. The upcoming works, valued at Rs 49.65 billion, are expected to be commissioned during 2025–26 and the following two years.
