ACME Solar signs 300 MW hybrid PPA with SECI at Rs 3.25/unit
ACME Solar Holdings Limited has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) for a 300 MW wind-solar hybrid project under Hybrid Tranche IX, according to a regulatory filing.
The agreement has been executed through ACME Renewtech Fifth Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of ACME Solar Holdings, and carries a tenure of 25 years.
Project details
The interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected project is scheduled to commence power supply on June 30, 2028. Electricity generated from the project will be supplied to SECI at a tariff of Rs 3.25 per unit.
The project will be developed in locations offering high solar irradiation and wind resource potential and will utilise transmission connectivity already secured by the company.
Under the terms of the PPA, the project is required to maintain a minimum annual Capacity Utilisation Factor (CUF) of 30%.
Portfolio expansion
With the execution of the latest agreement, ACME Solar’s PPA-backed portfolio has increased to 6,870 MW, against a total contracted portfolio of 8,070 MW.
The company currently has 3,880 MW of PPA-signed capacity under construction and an operational contracted portfolio of 2,990 MW.
In addition to its generation assets, ACME Solar has approximately 3.62 GWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity within its portfolio, reflecting the company’s growing presence in dispatchable and hybrid renewable energy solutions.
