Crompton Greaves, RMC Switchgears win MSEDCL solar pump orders
Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has awarded separate contracts to Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited and RMC Switchgears Limited for the supply and installation of solar photovoltaic water pumping systems under the state’s agricultural solarisation programme.
Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals has received an additional allocation under its existing empanelment and rate contract for 3,000 off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems. The order is valued at approximately Rs 64.99 crore, excluding GST.
The contract covers design, manufacture, supply, transportation, installation, testing and commissioning of the systems, along with a five-year comprehensive warranty, repair and maintenance services, and a remote monitoring system (RMS). The work will be executed under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana (MTSKPY)/PM-KUSUM-B scheme and is to be completed within 60 days of receiving the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
The latest allocation follows the company’s receipt of a Letter of Empanelment and Rate Contract from MSEDCL, which it disclosed on July 2, 2026.
RMC Switchgears has received a Letter of Award worth Rs 23.64 crore for deploying off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems across Maharashtra.
The project covers the supply and installation of 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP solar pumps at identified farmer locations. The scope also includes testing, commissioning, remote monitoring, and a five-year comprehensive warranty under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana/PM-KUSUM-B scheme.
Both companies confirmed that the contracts do not involve related party transactions and that neither their promoters nor promoter group entities have any interest in the awarding authority.
The orders are part of MSEDCL’s ongoing procurement of solar water pumping systems under the PM-KUSUM-B-based Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana. In recent weeks, Jupiter International Limited, GK Energy Limited, Shakti Pumps (India) Limited and Oswal Pumps Limited have also secured contracts under the programme.
