SWELECT commissions 110/33 kV pooling substation in Tamil Nadu

SWELECT Energy Systems Limited has announced the successful commissioning of its newly erected 110/33 kV Pooling Substation (PSS) at Sirungattur in the Tiruvannamalai district of Tamil Nadu. The facility was energised and brought into operation on April 16, 2026.

The substation is equipped with a 1 x 50 MVA, 110/33 kV power transformer. It has been developed to provide 110 kV evacuation infrastructure for a 50 MW solar power project located within the Villupuram Operation Circle. The commissioning supports the transmission of renewable energy generated from the company’s project.

The development was disclosed to stock exchanges in line with regulatory requirements, as the infrastructure becomes operational to strengthen SWELECT’s renewable energy portfolio.
