HG Infra subsidiary signs BESPA with GUVNL for 300 MW BESS project

H.G. Choraniya Bess, a subsidiary of HG Infra Engineering, has signed a battery energy storage purchase agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited for a 300 MW/600 MWh BESS project.
The company secured this capacity in GUVNL’s Phase VI auction for 500 MW/1,000 MWh of BESS held in April 2025. The project will be executed on a build own operate basis.
The project is expected to be completed within 24 months. The estimated cost is about Rs 6.70 billion. The tariff has been set at Rs 285,600 per MW for a 12 year period. The storage facilities will be available to GUVNL for charging and discharging as required.
