SGEL commissions 80.77 MW solar under CPSU scheme in Bikaner

SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of SJVN Limited, has started commercial operations for 80.77 MW capacity under Phase-II of its 1,000 MW solar project in Bikaner, Rajasthan. With this, a total of 400.77 MW has now been commissioned.
The project falls under the Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) scheme Phase-II, which targets 12,000 MW of grid-connected solar capacity. It is being developed on a build, own and operate (BOO) basis with viability gap funding (VGF) support.
The electricity generated will be supplied under Power Usage Agreements (PUAs) to three utilities: Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL), Jammu and Kashmir Power Corporation Limited (JKPCL), and Rajasthan Urja Vikas and IT Services Limited (RUVITL).
