Waaree Renewable Energy Technologies Limited has received a Letter of Award (LoA) worth Rs 261.7 million. The company will develop a cumulative 21 MW/29.4 MWp decentralised solar power capacity in Maharashtra.

The award was granted on July 2, 2025. The projects will be set up under Component C of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) scheme, as part of feeder-level solarisation under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY) 2.0.

Waaree’s scope includes development, design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations and maintenance (O&M). The decentralised nature of the projects aims to provide stable daytime electricity to agricultural consumers.

This initiative aligns with the Government of Maharashtra’s goal to solarise 30 per cent of its agricultural feeders by 2026 by developing 16,000 MW of decentralised solar projects.
