Tata Power Central Odisha Distribution Ltd (TPCODL) inaugurated its Power Distribution Technology Centre in Bhubaneswar on January 18, 2025.
The centre features advanced Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) systems, including a 24×7 Power System Control Centre (PSCC) for real-time monitoring and seamless network operations across Odisha. It enhances the resilience of the power distribution network, ensuring uninterrupted power supply.
Equipped with Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) and Geographical Information System (GIS) technology, the centre improves network reliability, operational control, and asset management. It also includes a robust Data Centre with over 100 racks and 400+ servers to support consumer-facing applications like billing systems, websites, and mobile apps.
The PSCC serves as the Main Control Centre for TPCODL and as the Backup Control Centre for other Tata Power-led Odisha DISCOMs, ensuring business continuity in case of disruptions.
