Vestas secures 225MW contracts in US, Germany and New Zealand

Vestas has signed contracts for 225MW of wind turbine projects in the US, Germany, and New Zealand, as part of its Q4 2024 order intake.
In the US, Vestas received an 86MW order from Brookfield Renewable for the Mulqueeney project. It will deploy V163-4.5MW turbines, with a ten-year AOM 5000 service agreement.
In New Zealand, Vestas secured a 77MW contract with Mercury Energy for the Kaiwaikawe project. The project will use 12 V162-6.4MW turbines and a 30-year AOM 5000 service agreement. Delivery is planned for Q4 2025, with commissioning in early 2026.
In Germany, the company signed a 62MW deal for the Günstedt project with Meridian Windpark Günstedt. It will use 10 V162-6.2MW turbines, along with a 20-year AOM 5000 service agreement. Delivery is expected in Q3 2026, and commissioning in Q1 2027.
Vestas is a global leader in wind power, with over 185GW of turbines installed in 88 countries. The company also services 154GW of turbines globally and has secured a 1.1GW order for the Inch Cape offshore wind project in Scotland.
