Vestas enters Asia Pacific with wind project order in Japan

Denmark’s Vestas has secured an order to supply 21 V236-15.0 MW turbines for the 315 MW Oga Katagami Akita Offshore Wind Project in Japan’s Akita Prefecture.
The deal includes a long-term service agreement to optimise turbine performance.
This marks Vestas’ first firm order for its V236-15.0 MW turbine in the Asia-Pacific region and its first project under Japan’s offshore wind auctions based on the Renewable Energy Sea Area Utilization Act.
