NTPC Green Energy forms JV with UPRVUNL

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has partnered with Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (UPRVUNL) to create a joint venture (JV) for renewable energy parks and projects.  NGEL holds a 51% stake, subscribing to 51,000 equity shares at Rs 10 each, while UPRVUNL retains 49%.  The JV will focus on the development, operation, and maintenance of renewable energy projects, contributing to India’s green energy transition.

NTPC Green announces commercial operation of 30 MW Gujarat solar PV project

NTPC Green Energy has announced the commencement of operations for its wholly-owned subsidiary, NTPC Renewable Energy’s 150 MW Gujarat solar PV project in Mesanka, Gujarat. On December 18, 2024, the Gujarat Energy Development Agency issued a certificate confirming the commercial operation of the second part capacity of 30 MW, effective from December 11, 2024.

NTPC plans 20,000 MW transmission project in Andhra Pradesh

NTPC Green Energy Limited has announced plans for a 20,000 MW transmission project in Andhra Pradesh.  This project is intended to support NTPC Green’s forthcoming green hydrogen hub, which will be developed across 647.49 hectares at Pudimadaka.  The transmission network will connect NTPC’s proposed solar project in Anantapur to the hydrogen hub, establishing a dedicated renewable energy (RE) system to facilitate the growth of green hydrogen production.

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, and Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MAHAGENCO) have established a joint venture company, MAHAGENCO NTPC Green Energy Private Limited (MNGEPL).  The JV was incorporated on November 25, 2024. NTPC Green signs MoU for 2000 MW renewable energy projects in Chhattisgarh

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited (CSPGCL) to develop renewable energy projects with a capacity of up to 2000 MW.  The projects will include floating solar power installations. The MoU was signed on November 26, 2024, in Raipur by Shri G. K. Gupta, Chief Engineer of CSPGCL, and Shri D. Joshi, General Manager (Engineering) of NGEL.

NTPC Green and Andhra Pradesh join hands for Rs 1,870 billion RE push
