NTPC Green declares 165 MW commercial at Khavda-II solar project

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has declared commercial operation of 165 MW from the 1,200 MW Khavda-II Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Project in Gujarat, effective February 20, 2026. With this addition, NTPC group’s total commercial capacity has reached 86,894 MW.
The commissioned capacity forms the second phase of the Khavda-II solar project developed by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NREL), a wholly-owned step-down subsidiary of NTPC through NGEL.
With the declaration, NGEL group’s total installed capacity has increased to 8,992.68 MW and its commercial capacity stands at 8,827.68 MW, as per disclosures to stock exchanges. NTPC group’s overall installed capacity has reached 87,974 MW, while commercial capacity has risen to 86,894 MW following the addition.
The Khavda-II Solar PV Project is located in the Kutch region of Gujarat, a major renewable energy cluster in India. The project adds to national renewable energy capacity and expands NTPC’s solar power portfolio.
