Suzlon Group has announced its largest order of FY26, securing 838 MW from Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) under a Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project.
The project will deploy 266 of Suzlon’s S144 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 3.15 MW. Installations will be spread across Karnataka with 302 MW, Maharashtra with 271 MW, and Tamil Nadu with 265 MW. This marks the company’s second-largest order to date, following a 1,544 MW contract from NTPC Green Energy.
According to Suzlon, the contract is the third order it has received from TPREL. The partnership aligns with India’s clean energy transition goals, with FDRE systems positioned to provide round-the-clock, grid-stable renewable power.
Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman of Suzlon Group, stated that the order supports TPREL’s target of achieving 100 percent clean power by 2045. JP Chalasani, Chief Executive Officer of Suzlon Group, noted that the repeat order reflects the company’s ability to deliver technology and execution that meet TPREL’s standards.
The project is part of the FDRE bids awarded to SJVN and NTPC. Suzlon highlighted that all wind turbine generators supplied under this contract will be manufactured in India.
