Six firms qualify for NERGS-III Siang Basin transmission project

PFC Consulting Limited has declared six firms as qualified bidders for the NERGS-III Siang Basin Independent Transmission Project (ITP), following the opening of Request for Proposal (RFP) bids on March 9, 2026. The bid process coordinator had issued the RFP documents on October 14, 2025.
The qualified bidders include Resonia Limited, Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, Terralight Solar Energy Tinwari Private Limited, Adani Energy Solutions Limited, DRA Infracon Private Limited, and G R Infraprojects Limited.
The project forms part of the interstate transmission system for the North Eastern Region Generation Scheme III (NERGS-III). It is intended to evacuate power from two hydropower projects in the Shi Yomi district of Arunachal Pradesh: the Heo project (3×80 MW) and the Tato I project (3×62 MW). It will also support future hydropower development in the Siang sub-basin, where about 5,600 MW of capacity is expected by 2035.
The Ministry of Power (MoP) had notified PFC Consulting as the Bid Process Coordinator (BPC) through a Gazette Notification dated September 18, 2025. The selection process is being carried out under the tariff-based competitive bidding route.
The project cost is estimated at Rs 1,804 crore, with commissioning targeted by February 2029.
