Siemens Energy India Ltd (SEIL) was officially listed on BSE Ltd and the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd on June 19, 2025, completing the demerger of Siemens Ltd’s energy business.
With this listing, SEIL begins operating as an independent entity with a focus on transparency, agility, and strategic alignment to India’s fast-evolving energy sector.
SEIL employs over 4,200 professionals and operates ten manufacturing units and eleven regional offices across India. SEIL also serves neighbouring countries such as Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives.
The company is majority-owned by Siemens AG and its subsidiaries (69%), with Siemens Energy AG subsidiaries holding an additional 6%, and the rest under free float.
SEIL has contributed to key projects, including India’s first HVDC link using voltage-sourced converter (VSC) technology and recently completed its 1,700th steam turbine at its Vadodara facility.
SEIL is investing Rs 4.60 billion to expand its Kalwa transformer plant and has launched a Competency Hub to drive innovation in energy technologies.
