Servotech wins 900 kW hybrid solar-BESS contract in Uttar Pradesh

Servotech and UPSRLM

Servotech Renewable Power System Limited has secured a contract from the Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihoods Mission (UPSRLM), operating under the Department of Rural Development, Government of Uttar Pradesh, for the deployment of hybrid solar rooftop systems integrated with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) at multiple locations across the state.

The project comprises 12 sites, each with an installed capacity of 75 kW, taking the total allocated capacity to 900 kW.

Project scope

Under the contract, Servotech Renewable will undertake the design, supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance of the hybrid solar rooftop systems and associated BESS infrastructure.

The systems are intended to provide reliable power supply by combining on-site solar generation with energy storage, enabling electricity availability during periods of low solar generation and grid interruptions.

Rural deployment

The project has been awarded under UPSRLM, which functions under the Department of Rural Development, Government of Uttar Pradesh. The initiative is aimed at expanding the use of decentralised renewable energy infrastructure in rural areas.

Hybrid solar systems integrated with battery storage are increasingly being deployed to improve energy access and enhance supply reliability in locations where grid connectivity may be constrained or where uninterrupted power is required.

The deployment of 900 kW of distributed solar capacity across multiple sites is expected to support the state’s efforts to promote renewable energy adoption and strengthen local energy infrastructure.
