Serentica Renewables commissions 3 GW renewable energy capacity
Serentica Renewables has commissioned 3 GW of renewable energy capacity, achieving the milestone within 26 months of commissioning its first renewable energy project. The commissioned portfolio includes a mix of solar and wind assets across multiple renewable energy-rich states.
The portfolio includes more than 500 MW of wind capacity across Maharashtra and Karnataka and supplies renewable power to commercial and industrial consumers.
According to the company, the 3 GW portfolio is expected to generate around 6 billion units of electricity annually and help avoid nearly 5.6 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions each year.
The company said the milestone supports its objective of providing reliable, scalable and sustainable renewable energy solutions for industrial decarbonisation.
Expansion plans
Serentica Renewables is currently developing an additional 3 GW of renewable energy and energy storage capacity. The company expects these projects to be commissioned over the next 12 to 15 months.
Akshay Hiranandani, CEO, Serentica Renewables, said, “Achieving 3 GW of commissioned renewable energy capacity in just 26 months is a defining milestone in Serentica’s journey.
