SECI issues tender for 400 MW DCR-compliant solar modules in Andhra Pradesh
The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has floated a tender to procure 400 MW of Domestic Content Requirement (DCR)-compliant solar modules for a project in Ramagiri, Andhra Pradesh.
The modules must be manufactured, tested, packed, forwarded, supplied, and transported, with deliveries set to begin in October 2025. The bid submission deadline is December 5, 2024.
The tender divides the capacity into four 100 MW packages, allowing bidders to apply for one or more packages. Each bidder must submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 21.5 million per 100 MW package and provide 10% of the order cost as performance security, valid for 24 months. SECI may award the total capacity to one or multiple bidders and adjust the quoted capacity by up to 10% during order placement. A repeat order for up to 100% of the awarded capacity may also be issued within six months of the original award.
In April 2024, SECI awarded 400 MW of domestically manufactured solar module capacity to Swelect Energy Systems, Grew Energy, and ReNew Photovoltaics. Earlier, in February 2024, SECI invited bids for 900 MW of solar modules using domestically manufactured solar cells.
