NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) has awarded contracts totalling 66 MW of solar capacity to Kirloskar Solar Technologies and Oriana Power. The projects, valued at Rs 2.91 billion, will be developed across multiple Indian states.

Kirloskar Solar Technologies received contracts for 32.29 MW of ground-mounted solar projects and 14.74 MW of rooftop solar installations, amounting to Rs 2.08 billion. These projects will be set up in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Gujarat, and Assam.

Oriana Power secured contracts for 10.61 MW of ground-mounted solar and 8.65 MW of rooftop solar systems, valued at Rs 835.69 million. The projects will be located in Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal.

According to tender guidelines, ground-mounted projects must be completed within eight months of the work order, while rooftop projects have a six-month deadline. The developers are required to operate and maintain the systems for three years, using modules from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.

Additionally, in November 2024, NVVN floated a tender for 7.2 MW of rooftop solar systems across 26 buildings under Assam Rifles in Nagaland, Manipur, and Assam. In October 2024, NVVN awarded contracts for 500 MW/1,000 MWh standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS) with Viability Gap Funding (VGF) to IndiGrid, Kintech Synergy, and H.G. Infra Engineering.
