SECI awards 1.07 GW under RTC-Thermal Mimic renewable power tender
The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has awarded a total of 1,070 MW under its 1,000 MW Round-the-Clock Thermal Mimic (RTC-TM) renewable power tender, with seven developers securing projects through a tariff-based competitive bidding process. The awards were finalised around four months after the tender was issued in March 2026.
The tender is designed to procure renewable power that can emulate the reliability and dispatch profile of conventional thermal power by combining renewable generation with storage and other balancing resources.
A total of 16 companies participated in the bidding process. The discovered tariffs ranged from Rs 5.25 per kWh to Rs 5.26 per kWh.
Awarded capacity
Juniper Green Energy Limited emerged as the largest winner, securing 300 MW at a tariff of Rs 5.26 per kWh. Hexa Climate Solutions Private Limited was awarded 150 MW at the same tariff.
The remaining capacity was awarded at Rs 5.25 per kWh. Kengeri Prime Solar Power Private Limited secured 180 MW, Resolven Four Energy Private Limited 150 MW, Hero Solar Energy Private Limited 120 MW, EMIF II Holding V II Coöperatief W.A. 100 MW, and Purvah Green Power Private Limited, a subsidiary of CESC Limited, 70 MW.
Although the tender was floated for 1,000 MW, SECI awarded a total of 1,070 MW.

The unsuccessful bidders included ReNew Private Limited, Adyant Enersol Private Limited, ACME Solar Holdings Limited, Serentica Renewables India Private Limited, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, Solarcraft Power India 4 Private Limited, Greenko Solar Energy Private Limited, Waaree Forever Energies Private Limited and Adani Renewable Energy Holding Nine Limited.
